On Friday, 16 October 2026, SCHOTT SYSTEME GmbH is inviting students, school pupils and apprentices to discover the world of CAD/CAM technology as part of Career Friday at Fakuma 2026.

At booth B2-2206, visitors can experience the entire process live, from the initial 3D design to the creation of NC machining programs using the company's Pictures by PC CAD/CAM software.

The event offers an exciting opportunity to look behind the scenes of modern CAD/CAM technology and explore questions such as:

How are geometric objects defined internally?
How is CAD/CAM software programmed?

Participants will also have the opportunity to try Pictures by PC themselves and gain hands-on experience with its extensive design and machining capabilities.

As a special highlight, SCHOTT SYSTEME is offering free educational software licences, enabling students and apprentices to further develop their skills and continue exploring professional CAD/CAM technology beyond the exhibition.

We have been doing CNC milling and wire erosion with Pictures by PC for almost 30 years. This software is a very solid tool with an excellent price-performance ratio. Furthermore, the free, competent and very fast support is unbeatable. The post processors can also be adapted to older or exotic controls without any problems. It is great fun to be able to work with this product from SCHOTT SYSTEME.
